Your AI Workers Just Left the Dashboard — Introducing Email, Telegram, and Slack Channels

Your Utari workers just got a lot more accessible. Starting today, you can talk to them from your inbox, your Telegram chats, and your Slack workspace — no dashboard required. Send them text, photos, documents, PDFs — they handle it all.
We built Channels because the best AI assistant is the one you can reach from wherever you already are. Not everyone wants to switch tabs to talk to their worker. Some people live in email. Some live in Slack. Some are on Telegram all day. Now your workers meet you there.
Enable the email channel and you get a dedicated address like yourname@mail.utari.ai. Send an email with your request, get an instant acknowledgment, and receive the full response as a threaded reply. Reply back and the conversation continues with full context.
You can also set up workflow emails — custom addresses that route to specific workers with custom instructions:
- research-yourname@mail.utari.ai routes to your research worker
- support-yourname@mail.utari.ai routes to your support worker
- content-yourname@mail.utari.ai routes to your content worker
Only approved senders can trigger your workers. Your account email is automatically approved, and you can add one additional sender.
Telegram
Bring your own bot. Create one via @BotFather, paste the token into Utari, and we handle the rest — webhook registration, message routing, threaded replies.
How it works:
- Open @BotFather on Telegram and send /newbot
- Copy the bot token and paste it in Settings > Channels > Telegram
- Pick which worker handles messages
- Message your bot — your worker processes it and replies in the chat
Send files and images too. Snap a photo, share a PDF, or forward a document — your worker sees it, analyzes it, and responds. Images are processed with vision capabilities, and documents are parsed for full text extraction.
Use /new to start fresh. Type /new to begin a new conversation, or /new your question here to start a new thread with a specific prompt. Useful when you want to switch topics without carrying over context from a previous chat.
Replies are threaded, so if you reply to a response, the conversation continues with full context. Works in private chats and group chats where the bot is mentioned.
Slack
One click to connect. Hit "Add to Slack" in your settings, authorize the Utari bot in your workspace, and pick a worker. DM the bot or @mention it in any channel — your worker responds in the Slack thread.
File sharing works naturally. Upload an image, PDF, spreadsheet, or any document alongside your message — the bot downloads it, parses the content, and your worker can reference it in the response.
No tokens to manage, no manual configuration. The OAuth flow handles everything. Your team can interact with the same worker by mentioning it in channels, and each conversation stays threaded.
Files and Images Everywhere
Both Telegram and Slack channels support file uploads out of the box:
- Images — Photos are compressed, analyzed by the LLM with vision capabilities, and referenced in the conversation
- Documents — PDFs, Word docs, spreadsheets, and code files are parsed for full text content and injected into the worker's context
- Voice messages — Telegram voice messages are forwarded to your worker
- No text required — Send just a file with no caption and your worker will analyze it automatically
Everything Threads
The common thread (pun intended) across all three channels is conversation continuity. Reply to an email, a Telegram message, or a Slack thread — the worker picks up where it left off with full context. Every channel-originated conversation also shows up in your Utari dashboard thread list with a source icon, so you never lose track of what's happening across channels.
